Power of the Temple

Updated: Mar 4

Greetings my fellow hearties

Perhaps the most certain constant we find in our life tends to be the vessel in which our soul resides. When we enter this world in bran new form, let's call this level one. As each year passes we level up, in a years time so much change with in our realities and within our minds. Everyday’s new experiences shape us into what we ought to be.

There is a change happening around us as every moment passes by. Moods, feelings, actions, behaviours, interests, friends, family, all changes every day. So in a world revolving around the only constant is change. We are met with this one human size biological machine. Where day by day nothing changes, but when you look back every thing is still different. Our body evolves with every decision we make. When taking careful consideration we are able to preserve our body functions including it's vitality.

Let's be reminded of just how capable we are as humans;

  • Alexey Molchanov holds the world record of free diving with a depth of 131m with a single breath, with a total of 4:35 mins underwater.

  • Alex Honnold holds the record time for free soloing the famous El Capitan at Yosemite National Park, ascending 915m up the face in 1:58:07.

  • Usain bolt can run the 100m in just 9.58 seconds.

  • Kami Rita is a sherpa from Napal holding the record for the most times to reaching the summit of Mount Everest. Having done it 28 times.

  • Valerjan Romanovski from Poland holds the record of longest time submerged in ice water withstanding the cold for 3h & 28sec.

These are just a few different examples showcasing the powerful abilities we are able to cultivate through the right training and techniques. Now I'm not saying you should go out and outshine the masters, they are merely reflections of the possibilities we can tap into ourselves. Our body exists without actual limitations. They only arise in the mind, which when governor enough may cause us to act upon feeling rather that exceeding limits.

So what does this really mean? "My body is a temple" ~ Not only can we access miracle-like expressions throughout sensations. We are able to venture beyond what we thought is possible and experience a whole new perspective on what it means to be alive. This opens our eyes in such a way that we have no choice but to take on the responsibilities of nurturing our bodies and their development.

We do this by following:

  • Diets consisting of mainly whole foods

  • Getting regular exercise

  • Maintaining adequate sleeping patterns

  • Drinking enough water

  • Explore time in the sun

Once we start caring for our bodies, we are rewarded with revolutionary moments, in which we are reminded the power we so greatly possess. Never underestimate the force in which you are in control of. Seek out the possibilities that may reveal these sensations. I promise, the journey you to take to get the know your body will be one of the most significant.

Namaste my friends xx
